Name of the Game is Persistence

Posted on October 22, 2007

Rachel Manber (bio) advises against giving up in the face of rejection.

The thing that one learns the very hard way is to deal with rejections and to deal with the no and to deal with the critique and to deal with inconsistencies in the critique and how to best approach it and how to not take the first hit too hard and come back to it and persist, because, really, people who are successful are not necessarily people who have fear of rejections; it’s really the people who manage to push ahead despite the rejections and learn from them and move on and persist. I think the name of the game is persistence.
