Once a Proposal is out the Door, I Forget About It

John Landsverk (bio) talks about when he had 6 proposals rejected.

By the time I got word that all 6 had been rejected, I had found another avenue I wanted to go. I had figured out a way that I could use prior studies in the HMO study with screening instruments and apply it with regard to foster care kids and furthermore that nobody had done that before.
Once a proposal is out the door, I kind of forget about it, and in fact, people will often have to remind me, "Have you looked to see on eCommons whether you got a score or not?" I'm thinking about something downstream. There isn't enough time in life. I've got more things I want to do.
