Take Stats SeriouslyPosted on October 24, 2007 Wesley K. Thompson (bio) suggests that you pay close attention to the analysis section in your grant. |
If you’re not expert in statistics it’s important not to give that impression when you’re writing a grant, so you should be familiar with the types of analyses that you’re likely to use over and over again. And if you’re not familiar with them then you should collaborate with somebody who does because it’s very clear when I read a grant application that somebody hasn’t taken the statistics section very seriously.
So it’s readily apparent to anybody who has a knowledge of statistics that if you haven’t taken it seriously people will realize that and that’ll be definitely a knock against your grant when it’s reviewed.
